Job Description

We are seeking a skilled, highly detail-oriented Geospatial Mapping Specialist to join our innovative team. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex spatial data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and mapping software. The ideal candidate will create precise and compelling maps, spatial models, and data-driven visualizations to support decision-making in areas such as urban planning, construction, environmental studies, utilities, and sustainable infrastructure development.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze spatial/geographic data from GPS, satellite imagery, surveys, and LiDAR.
  • Maintain GIS databases with accurate and consistent data.
  • Create geospatial maps, charts, and visualizations for projects.
  • Support urban planning, construction, and environmental studies with mapping insights.
  • Perform spatial analysis including terrain modeling and land cover classification.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and surveyors on geospatial solutions.
  • Manage data layers and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on field data.
  • Stay updated with latest GIS tools and technologies.
  • Integrate drone-based aerial surveys into mapping workflows for enhanced accuracy.
  • Provide geospatial insights to support risk assessment and disaster management.
  • Train team members or clients in GIS applications and data usage.
  • Collaborate on research and innovation projects involving AI and geospatial technology.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine, etc.) and CAD tools.
  • Experience with remote sensing, GPS field data collection, and geodatabases.
Skill & Experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in GIS or geospatial mapping.
  • Experience in infrastructure, utilities, or environmental projects.
